At Baccalaureate Schools, we believe that integrating technology into the educational experience allows for a student-centered learning environment that addresses the individual needs of our students. Students attending our school are exposed to technology-based learning every day. In the kindergarten, elementary, and middle school, smart tools and devices are used by students to complement the lessons given on the interactive boards, which are located in each classroom at BAS. Additionally, specialized electronic curricula have been adapted to the new methodology of teaching in the form of electronic books (e-Books), interactive and collaborative online educational communities, to enhance the learning experience.
We believe that technology opens doors for teachers to present information in multiple modalities and for students to express and demonstrate what they know through multiple approaches. All teachers at BAS receive extensive professional technology development training to support learning and have access to ongoing assistance during the school year.
BAS offers opportunities to expand education beyond the traditional boundaries of the classroom by adapting and applying effective technological tools. We believe that using a technology-based approach to educate our students allows for a more tailored and motivational learning environment for our students.
All the above-mentioned tools are an important vehicle for providing flexible scheduling and pacing by making learning available during after school hours and year-round. For this reason, BAS students become more engaged, responsible global learners.
